<h1>Meaning and Purpose in Life</h1>

  <p class="lead dropcap">Every human heart is asking the same question: *Why am I here?*
We may not always say it out loud, but deep down we long to know if our lives matter. We search for meaning in work, relationships, money, success, or pleasure. And yet, even after reaching the goals we once thought would satisfy, the hunger for more still lingers.</p>

<h2>The Struggle for Meaning</h2>
  <p>When life feels empty, we often try to fill it with activity or distraction. Maybe you’ve poured yourself into a career, only to find that promotions and titles don’t bring the peace you hoped for. Maybe you’ve looked to relationships to complete you, but people can’t carry the weight of being your ultimate purpose. Even pleasures—travel, hobbies, experiences—eventually fade and leave you asking, *Is this all there is?*</p>

<p>Emotionally, this can feel like restlessness. Mentally, it can create anxiety or despair. Spiritually, it leaves us unanchored—like a boat drifting without a harbor.</p>

<h2>Why Purpose Slips Through Our Fingers</h2>
  <p>The Bible explains why this happens: we were created by God *for Him*. When we try to build our identity apart from Him, life feels fragmented. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has “set eternity in the human heart.” That means nothing temporary can fill an eternal longing.</p>

<p>The root problem is sin—our attempt to live life our own way, apart from God. We trade the Creator for created things, and in doing so, we lose the very purpose we were made for.</p>

<h2>God’s Answer to Our Search</h2>
  <p>The good news is that God doesn’t leave us wandering. Jesus Christ stepped into history to show us the way back to the One who gives life meaning. He said, *“I am the way, the truth, and the life”* (John 14:6).</p>

<p>Jesus doesn’t just give us purpose—He <strong>is</strong> our purpose. Through His death and resurrection, He restores our broken relationship with God, forgives our sins, and offers us new life. </p>

<h2>How New Life in Christ Brings Purpose</h2>
  <p>When you put your faith in Christ, life takes on a whole new meaning. You are no longer defined by what you achieve or by what others think of you—you are defined by God’s love. Scripture says, *“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”* (2 Corinthians 5:17).</p>

<p>This new life gives you a daily purpose:</p>
  <ul>
    <li><strong>To know God personally</strong>—not just as an idea, but as a Father who walks with you.</li>
    <li><strong>To experience the incredible peace, fulfillment, and meaning that only God Himself brings</strong>—for knowing Him is true life, and apart from Him everything else is empty.</li>
    <li><strong>To live with eternal hope</strong>—your life now points forward to a future with Him that cannot be taken away.</li>
    <li><strong>To love others selflessly</strong>—because you’ve been loved unconditionally, you can extend that love to those around you.</li>
    <li><strong>To make an impact that lasts</strong>—whether in work, family, or service, everything you do in Christ carries eternal weight (1 Corinthians 15:58).</li>
  </ul>

<p>Instead of chasing meaning in temporary things, you can rest in the truth that your life is already anchored in God’s eternal plan.</p>

<h2>The Invitation</h2>
  <p>If you’ve been searching for meaning, the answer is not in achieving more, but in receiving what Christ has already done. You were created by God and for God—and in Him your life finds eternal significance.</p>

<p>You can take that step right now by opening your heart to Him in prayer:</p>

  <p>“God, I confess that I have tried to find meaning apart from You. I see now that only You can satisfy the deepest longings of my heart. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins and rise again so I can have new life. I trust Him as my Savior and Lord. Help me to walk in Your purpose for my life. Amen.”</p>
