<h1>The Trinity</h1>

<p class="lead dropcap">The Bible teaches two truths that stand side by side:</p>

<ol>
<li><strong>There is one God.</strong></li>
</ol>

<div class="scripture">“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”<span class="ref">— Deut. 6:4</span></div>

<ol>
<li><strong>The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are each fully God.</strong></li>
</ol>

<ul>
<li>The Father is God (1 Cor. 8:6)</li>
<li>The Son is God (John 1:1, 14)</li>
<li>The Spirit is God (Acts 5:3–4)</li>
</ul>

<p>Christians do not believe in three gods—but one God who exists in three persons.</p>

<p>This is not something we can fully grasp, and that’s okay.  
If we could completely understand God, He wouldn’t be God.</p>

<h2>2. God Is Knowable—But Never Fully Comprehended</h2>

<p>You can know God truly because He reveals Himself.  
But you cannot know Him completely, because He is infinite.</p>

<p>A helpful picture is the <strong>ocean</strong>:</p>

<ul>
<li>You can touch it, swim in it, enjoy it, and know it is real.</li>
<li>But you cannot hold all of it in your hands.</li>
</ul>

<p>God is like that—<strong>real, close, knowable</strong>, but always greater than your mind.</p>

<p>We are invited to know Him, trust Him, and walk with Him—while remembering He will always be deeper than we can imagine.</p>

<h2>3. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit Work Together in Everything God Does</h2>

<ul>
<li><strong>The Father loves you and planned your salvation.</strong> (1 John 3:1)
  <div class="scripture">“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.”<span class="ref">— 1 John 3:1</span></div>

<li><strong>The Son came to save you.</strong> (John 3:16)
  <div class="scripture">“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”<span class="ref">— John 3:16</span></div>
  
</li>
<li><strong>The Spirit gives you new life and comes to live in you.</strong> (John 6:63)
  <div class="scripture">“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”<span class="ref">— John 6:63</span></div>
</li>
</ul>

<p>Three persons, one God, one rescue mission.</p>

<h2>4. The Trinity Shows Us That God Is Personal and Relational</h2>

<p>One of the most comforting parts of the Trinity is this:</p>

<p><strong>God has always existed in loving relationship—Father, Son, and Spirit.</strong></p>

<p>This means God did not become loving when He made the world.  
God has always been loving.</p>

<p>And the amazing truth is:  
<strong>He invites you into that love.</strong></p>

<p>Jesus said,  
“Whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him.”  
—John 14:21</p>

<p>The Trinity means the God who saves you is not distant or cold—He is personal, relational, and welcoming.</p>

<h2>5. The Trinity Helps Us Understand How God Works in Our Lives</h2>

<p>Even though there is one God, He works toward us in different ways:</p>

<ul>
<li><strong>The Father draws your heart.</strong></li>
<li><strong>The Son opens the way to God through His cross.</strong></li>
<li><strong>The Spirit lives in you and gives you strength.</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>Jesus highlights this in one simple verse:</p>

<div class="scripture">“Because of Him you are in Christ Jesus.”<span class="ref">— 1 Corinthians 1:30</span></div>

<p>God works as Father, Son, and Spirit so that you can know Him, follow Him, and experience His presence.</p>

<h2>6. You have a Father who loves you deeply.</h2>

<ul>
<li>You have <strong>a Father</strong> who loves you deeply.</li>
<li>You have <strong>a Savior</strong> who died and rose for you.</li>
<li>You have <strong>the Spirit</strong> who lives in you, strengthens you, and guides you.</li>
</ul>

<p>Not three gods.  
Not three parts of God.  
<strong>One God who invites you into His life.</strong></p>

<p>You can know Him truly, even if you cannot explain Him fully.</p>

<p>This is why Christians worship with joy:</p>

<div class="scripture">“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!”<span class="ref">— Romans 11:33</span></div>
